A digital transformation consultant, based in London.
Henderson Digital is based on Hatton Garden, in Clerkenwell — a short walk from Old Street and the Tech City cluster. I work with London businesses face to face where that helps, and I work with businesses across the rest of the UK remotely, on exactly the same terms.
What tends to be true of London businesses by the time they call
Growth in London is rarely the problem. It is what growth leaves behind — the tools bought under time pressure, the agency that delivered a project and disappeared, the process that was fine at five people and is now the thing slowing down fifteen.
- A stack of SaaS subscriptions that were each the right call individually, and do not talk to each other
- A previous agency or freelancer who is no longer contactable
- Office and field or client-facing staff working from different versions of the truth
- Growth that has outpaced the spreadsheet everything still runs on
- A high London cost base making manual admin more expensive to keep carrying
- No single person accountable for how the business actually runs on its systems
How I approach it
Discovery happens in the room where possible
For London businesses I default to meeting on site — watching the process rather than having it described secondhand surfaces the steps nobody thinks to mention.
One consultant, not a rotating team
The person who scopes the work is the person who builds it. In a city where agencies rotate account managers, that continuity is usually the thing clients notice first.
Built to survive you being busy
London businesses do not have spare attention. Systems are built to need as little ongoing input as possible, with automation and integration doing the remembering.
What that looks like in practice
Illustrative examples of the work, not client case studies.
A professional services firm off the intake spreadsheet
New client intake, conflict checks and document requests moved into a proper system, still fitting how a small partnership actually works.
A multi-site hospitality business with one view of the day
Bookings, covers and stock connected across sites into a single dashboard, instead of a phone call to every site each morning.
A trades business quoting on site in Zone 1 traffic
Mobile quoting built for a team that is rarely at a desk, with pricing rules for London-specific costs like congestion and parking built in.
A scaling agency that stopped re-entering the same brief three times
CRM, project tooling and finance connected so a brief entered once flows through delivery to invoice.
The process
Questions
Do you actually meet clients in person, or is "based in London" just an address?
I meet London clients in person for discovery and key milestones where it genuinely helps — it usually does for process mapping. Delivery work is mostly remote regardless of location; that is true for London clients too.
Which parts of London do you cover?
All of it. The Hatton Garden office is central enough to reach most of London within the day; further-out boroughs are just as easy over video for anything that does not need a site visit.
Do you only work with London businesses?
No — around half of my clients are outside London and worked with entirely remotely, on the same process and the same rates. London simply means on-site discovery is easy to offer.
How is this different from a London digital agency?
No account manager, no handoff to a delivery team you have not met. The person who scopes the work builds it and stays reachable afterwards.
Tell me what's frustrating you.
I'll tell you whether I think there's something worth exploring. If there isn't, I'll say so.
